Join us at Carroll County Public Library (CCPL) Eldersburg Branch as the Chesapeake Mermaid shares her love of the bay through an engaging live show with storytelling, music, movement, and more fun. Guests are invited to learn about her wildlife friends, explore bay creature sign language, and take part in an interactive storytime that encourages curiosity and imagination for all ages. The experience also includes “Mermaid Moments,” where families can enjoy personal interactions and take photos to remember the day following our program. Chesapeake Mermaid Storytime Fun takes place on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 10am to 12pm at CCPL Eldersburg Branch situated at 6400 West Hemlock Drive, Sykesville, MD, 21784. The Chesapeake Mermaid’s performances will begin promptly at 10am. The event is free and open to the public but registration is required. Register at Library.carr.org. Handicapped parking available and location is wheelchair and stroller accessible.
