The Chesapeake Mermaid will be making an appearance at the Delmarva Discovery Museum! She will be telling the tale of “The Last Bivalvian,” which explores the history of the Chesapeake Bay and the importance of oysters.
Your adventure on Saturday, October 7th from 12-1 pm includes a story, movement, song, bay creature sign language, and learning what you can do for the wildlife and habitats in your own backyard. Then stay from 1-2 pm for one-on-one meet and greets, meet our wildlife friends, and take advantage of photo opportunities. All ages are welcome. Wheelchair accessible. Kids will be seated on the floor and mermaid blankets and shark tales are welcome. Museum tickets are required… Members – FREE!, Adult (18 & over) – $10, Senior (60 & over) – $8, Military Members (with ID) – Free, Youth (ages 4-17) – $5, Children age 3 and under – FREE.
